Blooming Eucalyptus

 

 

The flowers start out with a protective cap.

 

 

I noticed the flowers on a Eucalyptus tree bloom at different times. On this tree some groups of flowers still have protective caps, other groups are in bloom, and in some groups all the flowers have already fallen off.
