Echidna
We found this little guy in Tidbinbilla yesterday. (In case you're wondering, Tidbinbilla is a nature reserve 20 km outside of Canbberra) I wasn't able to capture a very good photo, but at least you get an idea of what they look like. Both echidnas and platypus are unique in that they are the only surving species of Tachyglossidae, egg-laying mammals.
